Lixin combines proprietary U-rib welding technologies with automated steel bridge fabrication equipment to provide industrialized manufacturing of orthotropic steel deck panels and related steel bridge components.
The fabrication process integrates surface preparation, assembly, internal and external welding, plate-unit straightening, robotic component welding, inspection and repair.

Manufacturing Process
A typical production process includes:
- Raw-material inspection.
- Grinding and cleaning of welding areas.
- U-rib and deck-plate assembly.
- Internal and external U-rib welding.
- Plate-unit straightening.
- Robotic welding of connecting plates and diaphragms.
- Weld inspection and localized repair.
- Subsequent steel box-girder fabrication where required.
Manufacturing Network
Lixin operates a multi-location steel bridge manufacturing network across Central, East, South, Southwest and Northeast China. The network supports localized fabrication and project delivery for new steel bridges and steel bridge components.
The combined steel-structure manufacturing capacity of the network is approximately 500,000 tonnes per year.
