Anhui Hengtai New Materials Co., Ltd. is part of Wanbei Coal-Electricity Group and a subsidiary of the listed company Anhui Hengyuan Coal Industry and Electricity Power Co., Ltd. Located in Taochang Town, Hanshan County, Ma'anshan, Anhui Province, the company develops local high-quality natural anhydrite resources through mining, powder processing, and R&D for new building and functional materials. Hengtai's anhydrite business can be traced to Wanbei Coal-Electricity Group's development of the Hanshan anhydrite resource in the early 2000s.
The mining-right area extends approximately 7 km and covers about 6.98 km², with cumulative proven resources of 1.8321539 billion tonnes. The mine entered production in August 2004 and has an annual production capacity of 600,000 tonnes. In December 2025, the mining extension and technical-upgrade project below the -400 m level passed provincial completion acceptance and entered formal production, expanding access to deeper resources and supporting long-term supply continuity.
Hengtai's product portfolio includes natural anhydrite ore, 200-mesh anhydrite powder, and ultrafine grades including 600, 800, and 1,250 mesh. Applications include cement and concrete, gypsum-based self-leveling and plastering materials, mine backfill, soil improvement and stabilization, and functional mineral fillers for plastics, rubber, coatings, and paper. Products are supplied across multiple regions in China and have entered markets in East and Southeast Asia.
Hengtai has been recognized as a National High-Tech Enterprise, named a “Green Factory” by the China Non-metallic Minerals Industry Association, and elected as a council member of the Association's 7th Council. The company operates a municipal-level enterprise technology center and has obtained certifications for ISO 9001:2000 quality management, environmental management, energy management, and occupational health and safety management systems. In 2026, Hengtai organized technical exchanges on higher-value utilization of anhydrite and the development of slag sulfoaluminate cement materials. Hengtai is also one of the principal drafting organizations for GB/T 5483-2024 Natural Gypsum and GB/T 5463.3-2025 Non-metallic Mineral Products Vocabulary - Part 3: Gypsum.

矿权区长约 7 km，面积约 6.98 km²，累计探明资源储量 183,215.39 万吨。矿井于 2004 年 8 月投产，年生产能力 60 万吨。2025 年 12 月，-400 m 以下采矿延深技改工程通过省级竣工验收并转入正式生产，进一步拓展深部资源开采空间和中长期供矿能力。
